We
went to an auction, pretty much just to watch the
circus. NOT to buy a horse, but in walks Ginger,
at 15 she was as pretty as a copper penny. I said
WOW my daughter said WOW and my husband says? "You
want that horse? she's old"... I said, I don't
care" and with some persuading we came home
with Ginger. To this day she is the best horse we
had the pleasure of her being a part of our family.
She is sadly missed...
On
labor day weekend 2005, on a 4-H camp out Ginger
stepped wrong (at a walk) on a rock. She snapped
her leg just above the hock. We trucked our vet
in to her and to our disappointment he assured us
it would be cruel to try to save her. We had her
euthanized there on the trail and buried on the
hill over looking the lake. We visit her every year
and finally next year we will get to take her only
baby back to see her-Ima Tuf Cajun aka Sonny was
6 months old when she passed. Please visit his page
for pictures.
